Foundations, Slabs & Structural Concrete
Flatwork & Structural
Where Do I Start?
Send the plans or the scope. For new builds and additions, we take off footings, rebar, slab and pump from the foundation plan and details, and return a line-item proposal within 24 hours. For flatwork, we’ll meet you on site and measure.

Choose Black Flag if the concrete is structural: a new house, an addition, a garage, a pad for commercial equipment, or a slab that has to meet an engineer's spec. We also take driveways and patios, especially on houses where we built the shell.
Standard mix is 3,000 PSI pea-rock pump mix. We match the plan when the engineer calls for higher strength, fiber mesh or a special admixture.

Concrete typically takes 24 hours to set enough for light foot traffic, about 3 days to handle vehicle traffic, and 28 days to fully cure and reach maximum strength.
A properly installed and maintained concrete surface can last 30-50 years or more. Regular sealing, proper drainage, and avoiding heavy impacts can help extend its lifespan.
All concrete has the potential to crack due to shrinkage, temperature changes, or ground movement. However, control joints, proper reinforcement, and sealing help minimize and control cracking.
We place control joints at the spacing the slab thickness calls for, typically 8–12 ft on a 4" slab.
The cost is determined by several factors: project size, type of concrete and finish, site preparation requirements, and any custom design features. We provide detailed estimates after assessing your specific needs, ensuring transparency and value in every project.
The timeframe depends on the project size and type. For most driveways, patios, or pool decks, the process can take anywhere from one to three days—this includes preparation, installation, and the initial curing period. Larger or more intricate projects may require additional time.
Concrete is low-maintenance but does benefit from routine care. Regular cleaning, occasional power washing, and resealing every few years (depending on wear and weather exposure) help maintain its appearance and durability. Prompt repair of minor cracks can prevent future damage.
