Most Popular Questions
Typical Florida driveways have a broomed, textured finish. this adds a nonskid texture thats parallel to the street so incase of rain, the tires for your vehicles have something to grip.
Most of Florida code requires a CMU (concrete mansonry unit) block wall to be no higher than 6 feet from the ground. These are considered structural and in most counties need a permit to install.
Popular stucco textures include: Smooth, Sand, Cat Face, Dash, Lace, Rough, Scraped, and Swirl.
Paver sand or polysand, will disapear between pavers for a number of different reasons; one reason is that the pavers need to be sealed because the sealant has deteriorated. Another reason is the pavers were installed without a concrete curb to hold the sand inward.
Many factors are taken into account, and an in-person inspection is always going to give you the best answer. More often, pavers are going to be a pricier option when it comes between a stamped concrete texture versus a paver selection for a hardscape project.
Depends on your job. Price, Scope, and Materials play a big role in who you hire to complete your project. It's in a homeowners best interest to pull a permit for anything structural and make sure a county inspector passes it. A smaller concrete slab or knee wall would not be structural and would be easier for a smaller crew to complete.
We offer a variety of stamped options that can meet your decorative needs. Templates include Ashlar Slate, Rock Face, Castle Rock, Random Stone, Basketweave, and European Fan.
Paver sealing is best done at least once a year. Traffic and exposure to weather should be taken into account to either reduce or extend that timeframe.
Florida pool decks have to survive our harsh weather. Popular materials are Brick Pavers, Travertine, and Marble. There's a lot of Pro's and Con's to every material. Travertine is by far the most cost-effective and elegant option.
Stamped borders on a broom-finished concrete slab are a cost-effective option that gives you a more customized look for your hardscape project as opposed to a traditional concrete look.
Expansion or control joints need to be installed at most between 10 FT to 12FT apart for concrete to not crack prematurely. Joints to to either be tool cut 1/4 of the depth of the concrete or saw cut in these intervals.
